About Nolia

We make small batch fine chocolate confections that are individually crafted by hand with fresh high quality ingredients.  Our chocolate confections are 100% natural without added preservatives, wax, or emulsifiers.  That means when you enjoy our chocolate you are experiencing the pure, rich complex taste natural to quality chocolate.  When possible we grow our own ingredients like rosemary and meyer lemons. We develop all our own flavors and recipes.  Our chocolate is a specialty single origin, fair trade, directly sourced cocoa grown in Venezuela.  We strive for our chocolates to be intensely flavored and infused with the goodness of nature.

We are a very small business that takes great care and pride in our handcrafted product.  So that you can enjoy the freshest confections, we make limited quantities of chocolate to order each week.  We recommend that you enjoy your chocolates within two weeks of receipt.

Since each chocolate is handcrafted, some slight variations in size and appearance can be expected.  Each chocolate is truly individual:  hand molded, hand dipped and/or decorated by hand. We won't divulge our secret recipes but all of our truffles, caramels, and other confections are made in house using fresh cream and butter, fresh and dried fruit, quality nuts, top-shelf liquor, fresh herbs and spices, and local coffee.  We love our flavors and hope you will too!

Nolia started with one person in a home kitchen as a dark chocolate and caramel lover's hobby.  The chocolate "experiments" became popular enough that the hobby grew into a small confectionery business based in Philadelphia. We do not have a retail store but you may see us at local events and we can ship all over the United States.

Why the name Nolia?  Nolia is a derivation of Magnolia--a beautiful and delicate southern flowering tree--and has several special meanings to me! Plus, it's short, sweet and easy to remember.

Cheers and Enjoy!
